The following are pictures taken during the recording of Understood (you)™. The majority of them were taken by Dan McMurray during the recording of Across the Sky.

Rex plays his guitar while recording the part on the system. The part he plays is then lopped, chopped, and mixed into the song.
Dave warms up and gets accustomed to the style of singing, to get the full mood and aesthetic of the song.
Rex listens to the song to see if the part he played was good enough. Judging by the look on his face, he just may take another shot at it.
Lee Bosma sings Tonic Water from the heart - and the gut.
Rex strategically places and monitors Lee's voice in the mix.
After a strenuous day's work, Dan, Dave and Rex need to relieve some stress by going outside to goof off.
Rex wonders how well the sections fit together. The glory of the studio is that it allows plenty of complex editing to take place.
The old floating bottle trick.
This time, things must have gone well in regards to the recording. Apparently he must like what he hears.
More stress relief by being goofy.
Another part of the song is being hacked out. Each instrument or vocal can be played or sung at a different time, and then pieced together at the end.
Neccessity is the mother of invention! This breath screen may not be the most stylish, but it works just as well as any other.
The "floor cam" shows Rex trying to demonstrate the feeling of passion needed in the song.
Ok, this stress relief thing may have gone way too far.
Pondering thoughts...
Yikes! Some people need to get out a little more often...
"Say Cheeseburger!"
